YouTube Cover Songs

You have to love YouTube. Some of these “cover songs” made me laugh until I cried (and my ears bled).

First, there’s the commercially stupid, like this Kids inc. cover of Is This Love or a young Fergie singing Lionel Richie to a terrifying, broom spinning clown.

Then you’ve got the terrible, beginner (we hope) bands. Here’s a cover of Smells Like Teen Spirit that may well have woken Kurt Cobain from the dead.

How about dueling celebrities? Your choice: Mariah Carey covering Def Leppard or Celine Dion covering AC/DC…

And, finally, what’s better than a classic Yes song like Roundabout? Roundabout performed by a show choir of course!
